SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday issued firm directives to the top brass of security forces and civil administration to execute an assertive area domination strategy and sustain unyielding operational pressure against terrorist networks across Jammu and Kashmir.

Chairing a comprehensive, high-level security review meeting, the Lieutenant Governor evaluated the prevailing internal security framework, anti-terror operations, border vigilance, and intelligence coordination. He emphasized that joint task forces must enhance ground-level operational synergy to preemptively neutralize evolving security challenges across both divisions of the Union Territory.

Citizen-Centric Policing & Grievance Redressal

Highlighting that public trust forms the bedrock of an effective law enforcement and security architecture, the Lieutenant Governor called for deeper, compassionate community outreach. He instructed police authorities to designate dedicated, daily interaction hours at the police station level to directly hear and resolve public grievances.

Reviewing grassroots policing mechanisms, Shri Sinha underscored the necessity of strict accountability, fair investigation, and transparent complaint redressal across all territorial jurisdictions.

“The police must maintain a strong, continuous, and empathetic bond with the citizens. Every genuine grievance must be addressed with prompt sensitivity, and every investigation must be conducted with absolute fairness, transparency, and high professionalism.”

— Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of J&K

Crackdown on Narco-Terrorism & Digital Threats

During the deliberations, the Lieutenant Governor lauded the proactive breakthroughs achieved by the Jammu & Kashmir Police and allied security agencies in dismantling narcotics distribution channels. However, he cautioned against the symbiotic nexus between illicit drug trafficking and subversive funding, ordering intensified, zero-tolerance operations against narco-terror cartels.

Turning attention to the information warfare landscape, Shri Sinha instructed law enforcement to maintain vigilant surveillance across digital and social media ecosystems. He emphasized the urgent need to neutralize hostile online propaganda, combat synthetic misinformation, and counter digital blackmailing targeting vulnerable citizens and public order.
